Pinkpop 2010

So yesterday I went to a festival called Pinkpop. Three full days of partying, drinking and what not. I've been there before in 2007 for two days but this year I only went for the day that JOHN MAYER was playing. But it felt good to be back after 3 years. I don't care what you think about him but he was indescribable.

He played from 7:30 till 8:30 pm. I immediately went to the stage where he was playing when the other band was done. We stood there for one hour waiting before he actually came out. Longest hour in my entire life. My goal was to stand in front but it was impossible to get through all those people. I think I stood in the 25th row or something, but still I could see him very detailed lol.

7:29:55 - 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.. and there he was. I could CRY. I think I died at that moment and went to heaven. If that's what heaven feels like. I was screaming my heart out when he came out. One of the best days of my life. Jammin every song. There was this annoying girl in front of me that was slappin me with her muhfuckin ponytail though. He played a few from his Continuum album and a few from his new album Battle Studies. He ended with 'Gravity' and it was goohooood. Everybody laughed and went crazy when he suddenly got on the ground with his guitar and doing his amazing guitar solo.

And after that it was over. That probably was THE shortest hour in my life. Felt like I was standing for 10 minutes. Everybody was yelling 'WE WANT MORE, WE WANT MORE' in the end. Unfortunately he didn't came back. BUT Green Day on the other hand...

Green Day was the last band to perform that Saturday on Pinkpop. I've liked Green Day but I've never been a real fan. But that totally changed after last night. The singer grabbed like 3 people out of the audience and let them sing. There were a LOT of fireworks and I've thought for like 4 times they were done, but the band got back EVERY TIME. Too funny, cause everybody was like 'WTF?! They're still not done?' after the 2nd time they got back. Greenday fans were lucky, they played for 2,5 hours.

I also saw the Swedish band Mando Diao, the Dutch band Moke, another Dutch band Destine, 5 minutes of Caro Emerald and Ryan Shaw. I didn't know who Ryan Shaw was but he was good. I loved that he dedicated Man In the Mirror to Michael Jackson. I think everybody was touched by that.

Didn't take a lot of pics cause my iPhone camera is crap. Brother took my Canon to Italy...

Proud

Today, my mom and I went to do some groceries. While she was driving we talked a bit about my father, how he has been already almost 3 years gone. I still can't believe how we got through those 3 years. It was an emotional conversation even though it had only like 10 lines, but it was nice to talk about it. Mom said she was proud of herself for hanging on and it felt as she finally was ready to admit it. I had to block my tears. I wanted to tell her that dad probably would be proud of her too, but I didn't cause that wouldn't block my tears anymore lol.

Just sayin' I'm proud of her too.
And I still miss you everyday.

3 Days at the Hague

The passed three days I've been at the Hague visiting my preggo sister. We made lots of delish food and had so much fun! It was a coincidence that her boyfriend was chillin with his own friends, so we had the house for ourselves the whole weekend.

We made two Jamie Oliver dishes. A dish called Wild Rocket and Chilli Spaghetti and another dish Pea Fritata. I'd prefer the Pea Fritata dish because the other one had ansjofish and rucola as main ingredients. I don't like the combination of fish and spaghetti. Rucola just doesn't taste good in my mouth lol. Though my sis couldn't get enough of it. Pea Fritata is a dish with just some eggs, peas, chili peppers, goat cheese and mint. It's so easy to make and perfect for lunch or breakfast.

My sis also made a risotto dish with a €16(!) biofriendly chicken. Here some pictures of the dishes and cakes.

Wild Rocket and Chilli Spaghetti

Risotto with chicken and courgette

Homemade little chocolate pies with chocolate ice cream on top as dessert

My cake

On my last night, we put on a mud mask and we're also planning to go to a spa. Can't wait! And on my last day at the Hague, me and Chungmei (sis) decided to go to the city and go for a lil shopping spree. I bought a cute skirt with flowerprint on it. I also bought two nailpolishes but that wasn't during this shopping spree lol. After that we had some dinner at Vapiano. An Italian restaurant that serves pizza's and pasta's. We got one pizza and one pasta carbonara dish and we both shared them lol.

Last but not least.. on my way home in the train I saw this chinese middle aged guy getting a seat in my sight when I'd look to the right. His jacket or vest or whatever it was, he took it off. I suddenly see him doing some weird movements near his pee-pee with his jacket used as a blanket over it. I didn't think it was THAT weird but a few minutes later... his jacket ain't blanket anymore and that was the moment I saw him jerking himself off. I've never been so grossed out in my entire life. I seriously felt the need to puke and everytime I think about it (not that I want to jeeeezz..) my stomach turns. No idea what the guy was thinking.. GROSS GROSS GROSS. I mean c'mon....

This little trip also made me realize I belong to the city. Well not only this trip, actually everytime I'm in a big city. I feel home and I'm so tired and done with my town but that's just something I'm gonna have to wait for a while, but it WILL happen. I'll make it happen.

MacBook Pro

Yesterday my mom got me my MacBook Pro 15". It's my late 18th birthday gift but I don't care. I'm in LOVE with it. I have to admit, Apple products are pricy, but I think it's worth the money. It's surprisingly quick with installing other programs I used to use on Microsoft Windows. The sound quality could be better because you can't really feel the music like on a normal computer with good speakers. I personally thought the 13" was just a BIT too small so that's why I choose 15" and 17" is waaay too big to carry around. I also love how the MacOS X system works, you just have to play with it for a day or 2 or maybe even just one day and you'll know exactly how it works. This is how I experienced my MacBook on the second day lol, but I'm sure it will continue like this for a while. Oh, and I LOVE the fact that it automatically has Helvetica, my favorite font ever. Bye Arial.

Oh and it's Mother's Day! I love you, for everything you've done and still doing for us. I didn't get her a present but yesterday while we were on our QUICK shopping spree of 30 minutes or something, she saw a pair of shoes she really wanted. She thought it was a bit too pricy but I was like.. "Hey, you know what? I didn't get you a Mother's Day present. See it as your gift from me LOL". It helped and she bought them. She'll never read this lol.

We got these two chocolate hearts from two random guys (I think they were gay? 'Cause they were wearing a hat with hotpink decorations on it.) Not that it matters ;)
